My name is Kamryn. I’m 11 years old and am a marrow transplant recipient. I need you to register to be a match for patients like me.
If you had the power to save someone’s life, would you do it? Patients like Kamryn need a bone marrow transplant or their life will be cut short. It’s a reality for thousands of people who have sickle cell anemia because a bone marrow transplant is the only known cure.
Sadly, 70 percent of patients don’t have a fully-matched donor in their family. They are waiting on you to join Be The Match Registry®. You could be the answer they’ve been looking for to replace diseased blood-forming cells with healthy ones. You could be the cure.

**UPDATE – Kamryn could not find a match on the marrow registry, so along with their doctors, her family has made the decision for her to receive a haploidentical transplant from her father. While recent outcomes of haploidentical transplants are promising, many transplant doctors prefer a fully matched adult donor over a haploidential donor.
Kamryn’s family continues to encourage others to join the registry so that other families don’t need to make the tough decisions they have regarding alternative treatment options.
